KM Shafi Mohamed, the Founder & Chairman of KMS Plastworld Pvt. Ltd., brings more than three decades of experience in sustainable manufacturing and industrial innovation. Through his leadership, KMS Plastworld has grown into one of South India's leading manufacturers of waste management, material handling, infrastructure, and environmental solutions.

With a strong focus on innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility, he has consistently encouraged the use of advanced technologies and customer-focused manufacturing practices. His approach helps industries improve efficiency while also reducing their impact on the environment.

His vision is to create a future where industrial growth and sustainability go hand in hand, with smarter solutions that benefit businesses, communities, and the environment. Under his leadership, KMS Plastworld continues to raise the standards for quality, trust, and sustainable excellence.

Firdous Shafi, Director of Finance & Operations, is a key member of KMS Plastworld’s team, leading efforts to sustain strong financial discipline, improve day-to-day operations, and promote continuous and sustainable business growth.

Always looking for ways to improve manufacturing processes, strengthen supply chain operations and increase overall productivity. She ensures that the different departments in the business are aligned with the overall sustainability goals of the company.

Under his leadership, KMS Plastworld continues to expand its product range across waste management, material handling, cold chain logistics, industrial storage, road safety, and green infrastructure. At the same time, the company is strengthening its reputation as a trusted manufacturing partner for customers in markets around the world.

Our Journey

Leadership Timeline

From starting with a single crate-supply business to growing into a diversified group with international manufacturing partnerships, KMS has built its journey through three decades of steady and purposeful growth.

  1. 1993
    KMS Traders Begins Its Journey

    KMS Traders began by supplying industrial crates in partnership with Nilkamal, with an early focus on providing solutions for the food industry.

  2. 1995
    Expanding Into Automotive Plastics

    Within two years, Bright Automotive Plastics was added to the portfolio, expanding the range of solutions offered to industrial customers.

  3. 1995
    Partnership With Sintex

    Sintex became a partner brand for waste bins and insulated boxes — a partnership that went on to earn recognition as the best distributor across India for ten consecutive years.

  4. 2000
    Entering Material Handling

    Began working with Supreme Industries, one of India's Fortune-listed companies, as part of its Material Handling Division.

  5. 2005
    International Tie-Up With MahSing

    Partnered internationally with MahSing Plastics Sdn. Bhd., Asia's largest plastic pallet producer, and was appointed as its country distributor in India — importing more than 15 million units to date.

  6. 2010
    Incorporated as KMS Plastworld Pvt. Ltd.

    KMS Traders was formally incorporated as a private limited company under the name KMS Plastworld Pvt. Ltd.,
    A family-oriented organization guided by two directors.

  7. 2017
    Launch of Contract Manufacturing

    Began contract manufacturing of injection and roto-moulded plastic pallets, waste bins, insulated boxes, and prefabs under the SAF brand, while also bringing on board further international partners.

  8. 2023
    International Expansion to Dubai

    Opened an international branch in Downtown Dubai under the name Al-Zayn LLC, marking the group's first overseas presence.

  9. 2025–26
    Global Brand Collaborations

    Built partnerships with international brands across multiple regions:

    • Pipeco Group – UAE
    • KPRT – India
    • EcoGreen – Korea
    • Elkoplast – Czechoslovakia
    • Mirae Safety – Korea
    • Park Game Equipments – Malaysia
  10. 2026
    Group Expansion & Future Vision

    The KMS Group continued to grow with the addition of three new ventures: KMS Property Management Services, offering facility and property management; Green Stream, providing sustainable food biodigester and organic waste solutions; and MIPS Plastics, offering flexible rental options for pallets, waste bins, and other industrial products.
